In 1783, on a farm called Remony near the banks of Loch Tay in Highland Perthshire, an enterprise was born that would go on to champion the very best in Scottish textiles for centuries to come.
For seven generations the business stayed within the same family, the Macnaughtons. Over the centuries, they nurtured it from a cottage industry to a strong textile enterprise with so many possibilities - real experts in craft of weaving. In 2023, a new family took the helm, the Cottons.
We continue to stay true to our heritage while pushing forward, creating a very promising future for both this business and the Scottish textiles industry as a whole.

Specialising in woven woollen textiles, our mills in the Highland town of Keith and on the West Coast Isle of Bute, boast experts in their field. Dedicated and talented craftspeople behind every fabric.
Scotland and woollen textiles have been a harmonious partnership for centuries. A fibre that is perfect for the climate - warm in the winter, cool in the summer and water repellent.
In 1783, the Macnaughton family began their enterprise spinning the wool from their flock - wool is interwoven into our very roots.
There is luxury in nature - wool is durable, biodegradable and renewable. We appreciate it for all it has to offer. Remony primarily looks to merino lambswool for our collections. Merino allows us to achieve a beautiful, luxe soft finish.

Each Remony throw has been inspired by Scotland - the vibrant colours, intricate structures, exciting patterns and the welcoming soft finish.
Made with care and loved by our customers, our creative collections are born from the most incredible inspiration - our homeland. From the colours and textures of the landscape, to the folklore and stories that thrive here, passed down and enjoyed by generations, as we hope our products are too.
From our home to yours, take a little piece of Scotland with you.

From our rural beginnings on a Perthshire family farm, to being recognised around the world for beautiful fabrics and home accessories.
Our products are proudly woven in the Highland town of Keith and as of 2025, the scenic Isle of Bute - Bute Fabrics now being part of the Macnaughton Family.
Like our own history and craft, handed down from generation to generation, our products encompass this too. Lovingly and expertly created to be enjoyed for years to come.
Our story has been long, and it is still being written.
